“Craftsman, Decisive,
Future-oriented”
That’s the quote I received when I graduated from my first animation and audiovisual study back in 2012 and I couldn’t agree with it more.
I always had a passion for trying out everything I saw on YouTube regarding After Effects and back then even Cinema4D. You could claim I was (and still am) a bit of a digital geek. Where other people were busy filming with a canon550D I was wondering, how could I implement 3D objects within the footage, or what if I rotoscope the person in the shot and go freaky with it?
During my second study at the Utrecht School of the Arts, I slowly forgot about After Effects and focused more on being an Editor, a choice I HEAVILY regret until this day. After spending 3 years in that school I realized I had no passion for linear editing and was wondering what would make me happy and energetic again. That’s when I re-discovered After Effects and never let go again.
Fast forward 7 years later of which 5 full-time years of being a Motion Designer I can confidentially say, I am at the right place right now. After years of being auto-didact and hundreds of projects/clients my skills and workflow within After Effects animation has grown so much that I slowly feel that I want more.
That’s why since last year I am starting to shift more of my time and energy into doing the same thing over again but this time within the 3D space of Blender and even newer technologies like Augmented Reality!
I am confident that with my passion for discovering the latest techniques and visual styles, I can work on any creative digital project you as a potential client want and need. I mean, put me in a jungle and I’ll come out with a gorilla as my pet.
